Pinaceae. A small, slow growing cultivar of Scots Pine which is commonly known as Walter Pine. It can be grown as a tree or a shrub and as it matures it forms a low growing yet upright, pyramid shape that is almost as wide as it is high. At maturity, if grown as a tree, it forms multiple branches and has a gentle dome shape, it tolerates being clipped very well – so it is suitable for shaping and the young trees are often used in the creation of bonsai.
