Description

There’s a reason that this is called Carolina Allspice. The strong fragrance from the conspicuous brownish red flowers is impossible to miss. After flowering, it produces attractive urn shaped seed capsules which persist on the bare branches into Winter. The large dark green leaves turn golden yellow in the Autumn.
