Gramineae/Poaceae. Feather reed grass. A clump-forming grass with strong vertical pink bronze  flower stems bleaching to a lovely straw colour ~ flower stems persist  through winter months. Cut down old stems when new growth commences in spring. Easy to grow in most moist, humus-rich, well-drained fertile soils, but will tolerate all but the poorest soils.
