Holodiscus discolor



Rosaceae. (Ocean Spray) A fast-growing deciduous shrub. Cascading clusters of white flowers drooping from the branches in July give the plant its common name. The flowers have a faint sweet, sugary scent. It bears a small, hairy fruit containing one seed which is light enough to be dispersed by wind.

Easy to grow in any garden soil in sun or partial shade. Prefers some moisture in the soil.
